Food and Drink iNet
iNets
The Regional Innovation Strategy and Action Plan (RIS) developed by East Midlands Innovation recommends that emda creates business-led innovation Networks (iNets) focused on our regional industrial and research strengths across four priority sectors.
The Food and Drink iNet
The Food and Drink iNet is a new region-wide initiative, co-ordinating support for those in the food and drink sector. Whoever and wherever you are in the food chain - individual or business, producer, processor, distributor or retailer - the Food and Drink iNet will provide the best innovation support available.
The iNet will help build on the East Midlands’ tradition of innovation in the food and drink sector by showing how to research, develop and implement new products, services and processes.
It will also create opportunities to develop knowledge and skills, and to network with others through a programme of sector-specific events. Specialist food and drink advisors will provide easy access to information, advice and support to innovate and grow, enhance competitiveness and increase the contribution to the regional economy.
The Food and Drink Forum runs the iNet leading a consortium that includes the Food Processing Faraday Partnership, the University of Nottingham, the University of Lincoln and Nottingham Trent University. The service operates in collaboration with Business Link.
