New position: Food and Drink iNet Director (circa £45,000 p.a.)
The Food and Drink iNet are now recruiting a Director with a salary of circa £45,000 p.a. on a fixed term contract to 31 March 2010 with the possibility of extension to March 2013
Innovation within the food and drink sector has been identified as a key driver of the East Midlands economic strategy. The Food and Drink Innovation Network (iNet) is run by a consortium led by The Food & Drink Forum Limited in partnership with: The University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University, Lincoln University and The Food Processing Faraday Partnership Limited.
The iNet operates a specialist Information, Diagnostic and Brokerage service (IDB) across the East Midlands food and drink sector. A full-time dedicated team is in place to deliver this important initiative.
The iNet Director will have responsibility for the day-to-day activities and will report directly to the Board and the Managing Director of The Food and Drink Forum. The Director will manage the ongoing project and a team of business advisers whilst overseeing the strategic direction of the iNet. Knowledge of both the public and private sectors and working at senior/executive level in the food and drink sector is paramount.
The Director will work with food and drink companies of all sizes and with the region’s Higher Educational Institutions. The iNet has a budget available to assist in building the innovative capability within the regional food and drink sector.
A degree or an equivalent professional qualification in a food industry subject is preferred.
